Literature Text
The world shall grow, we shall change
Throughout it all, one thing remains
My heart cannot let go of you
Thoughts in your mind for me are few
It hurts to remember and yet
It hurts even more to forget
Not letting go nor holding on
Neither one has made me strong
I sit and wait patiently for
My sinking ship to reach the shore
Salty water rolls down my cheeks
There's no one left to cry with me
And without your voice I shrink back
My train is running on broken tracks
Cringing at the thought of goodbye
Releasing you to roam the sky
One last fall before I am gone
They will wonder where they went wrong
This time I jumped; It was my choice
My tortured heart does have a voice
Singing my last song in the rain
Falling tears, escalating pain
Broken hearts will not heal with out
Something new to not live without
I promise this is the last time
I will leave will leave without a goodbye
Finally, this pain is over
No one else can wander closer
I'm crying now that I wrote it.
